"BRICKS 1:35 DARK BRICK-RED, APP. 6.500 PCS.

 

[...]The diorama shows a scene of the speedboat landing in the harbour. The hull form was sawn out of a Styrodur plate, the harbour facility was built from a second plate. The harbour wall was built from a total of approx. 6500 bricks and then grouted with gypsum. Both the stairs and the upper wall endings were poured from a mixture of sand, plaster, dispersion paint and water and glued on. The street consists of wall plates from the railway need, which were brushed with gypsum & sand and varnished. The water was made with acrylic varnish. This was applied in several layers alternating with highly diluted paint. Both the tree trunks and the footbridge in the water were made of real wood, which was glazed with oil paints.
